Red Shed Soap is our cottage-in-the-woods industry, creating soaps and balms in our home (70s shed-style shenanigans) in Brush Prairie, Washington. We live out in the countryside north of the Columbia River in a beautiful forest of Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, and Big Leaf Maple. Nature is present all around us here, and we try our best to represent our sweet clean air, lush rain forest environment and our responsibility as caretakers in the products we make.
Red Shed Soaps are handmade using all natural ingredients with essential oil botanicals and aromatics. We start with select raw materials and make our soaps from scratch using cold process saponification. The foundation of our soap is pure olive oil blended with other skin nourishing oils such as jojoba or shea butter. The freshly blended soap base is then poured into small batch molds, formed and cured deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest in a Big Red Shed.
